Business's Procedures

What Are They Doing?

Most non-life-sustaining businesses are closed down for the time being, to protect their employees and customers. Fast-food chains and other restaurants have opened drive-thrus, delivery services, and curb-side pick up services. Grocery stores are currently taking precautionary measures to help prevent the spread while making sure customers are able to shop for their groceries.

For example, Weis Markets. Currently at Weis Markets, all customers and employees must where masks. They have placed markings on the floor at registers to influence the 6-feet social distancing policy. Cleaning with peroxide cleaner must take place after every transaction and the entire store must be cleaned after closing. Plexi-glass shields have been installed at every register, in the pharmacy department, customer service, and beer department. Face shields have been given to employees. A new system for managing customer traffic has been implemented to allow one customer per register, while others wait in line. Cashiers cannot run on a register next to another cashier. Hand-washing takes place every hour. Employees are limiting the amount of people in the store, as well.
